Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled circuit which can operate under low voltages and can be constructed with integrated circuits, by controlling the electric current in such a way that the potential difference across both ends of a resistance will be equal to the offset voltage of a differentially amplifying circuit which is generated because of the difference in current density. CONSTITUTION:A constant current is obtained by controlling an electric current IREF flowing into a resistance R12 in such a way that a potential difference DELTAVBE across both ends of the resistance R12 will be equal to offset voltages of differentially amplifying circuits Q1-Q4 which are generated because of the difference in current density. In the constant-current circuit, the difference in current density of a differential amplifier composed of transistors Q1 and Q2 is produced by a current mirror circuit composed of transistors Q3 and Q4. Since DELTAVBE due to the difference in current density and R12XIREF operate so as to balance with each other under the same condition, operations under low voltages become possible.
