Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform the fuel correction against an increase of the supercharged pressure and a descent of the atmospheric pressure by varying the effectiveness of a return spring against the bellows arranged in a pressure chamber at an expansion side from the neutral point and at a contraction point in a fuel correction device. CONSTITUTION:A fuel correction device 32 is fitted to a pump housing 21 of a distribution type fuel injection pump, and the bellows 35 is arranged in a pressure chamber 34. When the supercharged pressure is increased, the supercharged pressure is fed through an introduction port 33A, then the bellows 35 is contracted, raising a control rod 37. Accordingly, the fuel feed is increased by means of a correction lever 27 and a governor tension lever 15. When the atmospheric pressure descends, the elastic force of a spring 43 is applied against the expansion of the bellows 35, resulting in a reduction of the fuel feed. Thereby, an improvement of the high power performance, the exhaust performance, and the fuel consumption performance of the engine can be realized concurrently.
