Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the coating weight of zinc on strip surfaces uniform by installing an opening regulating plate having a taper or crown along the longitudinal direction within a nozzle body, in the longitudinal direction of a slit nozzle. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle body 1 consists of an upper wall part 3, a lower wall part 4, side wall parts (not shown), and a spacer member 5. A gas supplied through a through-hole 5a provided to the member 5 is injected through a slit nozzle 2 to the outside. In the nozzle body 1, an opening regulating plate 6 which is made adjustable of a tilting angle is provided in the longitudinal direction of the nozzle 2 between the nozzle 2 and the member 5. The plate 6 is formed of a taper 6a or crown 6b extending from both ends in the longitudinal direction to the parallel part 6c at the center at its free end, and is so adjusted that the flow rate of the gas passing as both end parts thereof is larger than that of the gas flowing in the central part.
