Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to deflect air flow over a wide range from horizontal to vertically downward without substantial change of air-flow rate, by providing a rod-like flow control member under a cross-flow fan and a movable guide plate and a succeeding guide wall at a lower portion at the back of the cross-flow fan, respectively. CONSTITUTION:A stabilizer 8 is disposed at the front of a cross-flow fan 7, while a rod-like flow control member 11 is disposed under the fan 7. Further, a fixed guide plate 9 and a movable guide plate 9b connected together by means of a hinge 10 are disposed at the back of fan 7, and a guide wall 17 is formed in the manner of extending continuously with the movable guide plate 9b. Providing that the guide plate 9b is set at the position shown in the drawing, air flow produced by the fan 7 is wholly directed downward along the guide wall 17, so that the turning angle of the guide plate 9b can be reduced by the function of the guide wall 17. Therefore, it is enabled to decrease the reduction in the air-flow rate.
