Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove dust thoroughly from the dust collecting electrodes of a dry type electrostatic dust precipitator on account of powerful oscillations in the stage of oscillating said electrode plates and removing the dust deposited thereon by injecting gaseous flow pulsatively to the electrode plates.
CONSTITUTION: In order to dislodge the dust deposited on the dust collecting electrode plates 2 of a dry type electrostatic dust precipitator, oscillations are applied to the plates 2. The plates 2 are suspended between pendulumn stoppers 4 consisting of two pieces of pipes 5, 6 in such a wat that the front and rear of the plural metallic plates constituted of the central recesses 2a and end bean parts 2b are disposed alternately. The gaseuos flow 12 pressurized pulsatively with a solenoid vlave 11 is injected from the nozzles 12 provided to the pieces 5, 6 to collide against the central recesses of the plates 2, thereby oscillating the plates powerfully between the pipes 5, 6 of the stoppers 4 and dislodging the dust deposited on the plates 2.
