Abstract

PURPOSE:To maintain valve function even when a seal ring is burnt up by fire, by providing an end of the fire seal ring of elastic metal body fixedly to a seal ring receiving recess while providing a groove in the recess in a valve such as ball valve. CONSTITUTION:An inner ring 6 and outer ring 7 are interposed between a ball valve body 2 and housing 1. A seat and O-ring are respectively designated 5 and 9. Also, the inner wall 8b is provided with at least one groove 13. Even when the seat 5 and O-ring 9 are burnt up by fire and primary fluid flows into a recess 8, fluid pressure P1 acts on the seal ring 14 to be included in the groove 13 so that the sealing action is not broken.
