Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the abnormal temperature rise of the well pump by a method wherein the abnormal temperature rise of either an electric motor or a pump casing is detected by a heat sensitive switch to open an electric power supplying circuit for the motor. CONSTITUTION:The temperature rise of either the electric motor 10 or the pump casing 20 may be detected by mounting the heat sensitive switch 40 at a location near the connecting part of the motor 10 and the pump casing 20. Here, the heat sensitive switch 40 is so designed as to be opened at Y point wherein the surface temperature of the pump casing 20 becomes 80 deg.C while closed at Z point wherein the same becomes 40 deg.C. According to this method, the temperature characteristics of the motor and the pump casing shows the shape of teeth of a saw as shown by the diagram and the temperature thereof will never be risen above a predetermined temperature, therefore, the abnormal temperature rise of the well pump may be prevented.
