Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compound causing no efflorescent phenomenon even if exosed to air over a long term by adding a prescribed percentage each of an org. phosphoric ester, a surfactant and an Sr compound to a slurrified mixture contg. powdered siliceous and calcareous starting materials.
CONSTITUTION: Water is added to a powdered siliceous starting material such as Portland cement + silica powder and a powdered calcareous starting material such as CaO powder to prepare a slurrified mixture of the starting materials. An org. phosphoric ester such as trimethyl phosphate, a surfactant such as an amino acid surfactant and an Sr compound such as SrO are added to the mixture by 0.2W5wt%, 0.01W1wt% and 0.2W5wt% as Sr of the total solid content of the mixture, respectively. The desired steam cured calcium silicate compound is then manufactured from the slurry contg. the additives by an ordinary method. The life of tobermorite in the calcium silicate compound is elongated by about 6W15 times that of conventional tobermorite under severe conditions, so the carbonation resistance is enhancecd correspondingly.
