The rice planting machine is operated over riding by sitting down on the seat 2. On the other hand, a loop shaped front handle 32 is set on the upper part of a front frame 7 which is arranged on the front part of the machine for operating over walking. A grip lever 33 for braking operation is arranged on the front handle 32 in such a condition as not allowing its operation from the seat 2, and the lever 33 can be locked in a braked condition.
