Abstract

1483663 Walking aid D LUMSDEN 29 Jan 1975 [2 Feb 1974] 04911/74 Heading A6M [Also in Division B7] A walking aid comprises a frame with a substantially U-shaped main frame member 6 supporting a saddle 1 at a rear end thereof and a handlebar 9 at a front end thereof, a single front wheel 11 connected to the handlebar, and a pair of rear wheels 13 supported from the member 6 via struts, the saddle and handlebar being adjustable in height and the aid being without pedals for propulsion and without a footrest or rests. In the illustrated embodiment the handlebar 9 is pivotable to steer the wheel 11, and a back rest/carrying handle 2 is fitted to the saddle. The front wheel 11 may be provided with a brake operable from the handlebar.
