Abstract
PURPOSE: To decompose halogen containing organic substance innoxiously and utilize liberated heat effectively, by making halogen containing organic substance to react with metal powder as a heat transfer medium and converting halogen which is generated at the state of oxygen dilution and 500W800°C and in the coexistence of steam into metal halide immediately.
CONSTITUTION: Chips of raw material are charged into the under part of the pyrolytic oven 3 which has mechanism introducing steam 6 and air or oxygen 5 through a supplying hopper 1 and a feederW2. Said powder of metal mixture forms a fluidized bed in the pyrolytic oven 3 and organic high polymer is thermally decomposed and gasified under said conditions, then generated hydrogen halide or halogen reacts with metal powder instantaneously and reaction of dehydrochlorination etc. occurs. Discharged metal powder is removed as non- combustible matter 12 from the under part. Gas formed by decomposition is led to a cyclone 10 from the upper part of the pyrolytic oven and a cyclone dust is separated and removed.
