Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a bright display screen of optional size by reading every partial screen to be displayed out of a storage circuit stored with one-frame in formation, and then displaying and composing them in the same plane. CONSTITUTION:An input video signal is supplied through a changeover switch 4, and is converted into a digital signal by an A/D converting circuit 5. The output is stored, frame by frame, in a storage circuit 8 under the control of a CPU6 and a writing circuit 7. This circuit 8 is read under the control of the CPU6 and a reading circuit 9. In this case, contents of addresses which correspond to respective partial screens are scanned to read pieces of information on the respective partial screens. Those pieces of information are converted by a D/A converting circuit 11 into analog signals, which are displayed on cathode-ray tubes 13 through interfaces 12. Displays on respective cathode-ray tubes 13 are made into one on a display screen 15 by a plane composing means.
