Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate assembling operation and to reduce cost by providing a transistor for surge protection at the inside of a semiconductor integrated circuit device. CONSTITUTION:A surge protecting TRTr2 is provided at the inside of a semiconductor integrated circuit device 11. This TRTr2 is brought under conduction control by being connected to a power source Vcc at its base; and the collector is connected to an output terminal OUT, and the emitter to an earth point GND. Consequently, when counter electromotive force is generated at a coil L, the emitter-side potential of the TRTr2 rises, so this TRTr2 turns on the discharge a surge voltage to the earth point.
