Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform a stable bending always at the fixed position, by providing fixed work roll chocks slidable against work rolls and outer work roll chocks supporting the rolls to the one side of the work rolls and providing work roll shifting devices to the outer chocks. CONSTITUTION:Work rolls 4 and 5 are fitted to inner roll chocks 2 and 3 which are fitted to a housing 1 freely movably in vertical line, and a roll bending device 10 is provided to the chocks 2 and 3. Outer work chocks 14 and 15 which is capable of bearing the thrust load are fitted to the shaft ends of the work rolls 4 and 5, and threaded shafts 16 and 17 are fitted in screwed engaging to the chocks 14 and 15. The tips of the shaft 16 and 17 are engaged with the inner chocks 2 and 3, and handles 18 and 19 are fixed to the rear ends of the shaft 16 and 17. The outer chocks 14 and 15 are moved in the direction of a rolling sheet S accompanying the work rolls 4 and 5 to coincide the dimension W with the breadth of the sheet S in rolling by rotating the handles 18 and 19. Accordingly, the loading point of the roll bending device 10 is not moved in the axial direction, and then the uniform bending load is obtained.
