Abstract
PURPOSE:To make an electric magnet for floating with small capacity to be used in a device to make reversible conversion of rotary energy into electric power while retaining a vertical shaft flywheel afloat by arranging armature windings of the motor driven generator part divided and thereby controlling its slip frequency and voltage. CONSTITUTION:In an arrangement where a flat secondary core RT1 for retaining afloat and rotators RT2 and RT3 for guidance and supporting are installed on the rotary shaft S of the flywheel RT0 and where armature cores ST1-ST3 for floating are laid facing the parts RT1-RT3, respectively, 3-phase armature windings are wound on the crores ST2-ST3 by dividing into 4 parts. The windings are controlled in accordance with the output frequency from a variable voltage, variable frequency power source. At this time, this output frequency is controlled on the basis of outputs from the displacement meters PS2-PS3 with the aid of controllers CNT2, CNT3 so that slip frequencies are generated in such a range as producing attractive force between the armature cores ST2, ST3 and rotors RT2, RT3.
