CONSTITUTION:Reel rotating speed detecting discs 31 and 32 are fixed to a rotating shaft of reel motors 21 and 22 respectively directly coupled to a supply reel 1 and a winding reel 2. Light emitting elements 37 and 38 and photodetectors 39 and 40 are provided by opposing with each other through clipping detection holes 35 and 36 of the discs 31 and 32. a signal in frequency proportional to the rotating speed of the reel is generated to the detectors 39 and 40 and applied to detection circuits 41 and 42. The output is rectified 43 and 44 and added 45. The added output is compared 47 with a reference voltage 46 and applied to a winding reel motor 22 via a driving amplifying circuit 48, and control is made so that the tape speed can be constant by controlling the torque.
