Abstract

PURPOSE:To promote heat transmission efficiency of heat transmission pipes through which fluid flows in both gaseous and liquid phases for heat exchangers for air conditioners or the like by a method wherein adjoining spiral grooves provided on the inside wall of a heat transmission pipe are made to have difference depths or widths from one another. CONSTITUTION:Many spiral grooves 2 of optional angles are provided on the inside wall of the heat transmission pipe 1, and adjoining grooves are formed into different groove depths or widths from one another. Such features can cause fluid flowing along the grooves to interfere one another enlarging flow turbulences so that heat transfer rate is increased to promote heat exchange.
