Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the heat exchanging efficiency by inserting a skirted ring next to another over the outer circumference of inner pipe with its inclination of undulated part reversed and displaced from that of the adjacent ring, and fixedly attaching skirted rings between the inner and outer pipes. CONSTITUTION:High-temperature fluid A supplied from the inlet 5 of a fluid passage 4 flows obliquely relative to the pipe axis along the inner and outer surfaces of undulated part of a skirted ring 7. When it flows into the undulated part 8 of the next ring 7, a turbulence is generated there because the undulated parts 8 are displaced in their pitch, and, at the same time, the fluid A flows toward and hits the inner and outer wall surfaces of the undulated parts 8, there will be positive contact with all the undulated parts 8. Because the flow zigzag along the undulated parts 8, chances are increased for the fluid A to contact the rings 7 to improve the heat exchanging efficiency with fluid B flowing through the inner pipe 3.
