Abstract
PURPOSE:To maintain a constant fuel consumption, control combustion by adjusting air volume, increase reliability of combustion control, and ensure positive ignition by installing a damper which controls air volume in the fuel fed into a catalytic combusting device. CONSTITUTION:In a combustion operation, a valve 7 of a fuel tank 6 is opened together with an operating element 16 being moved to the ignition point by depressing a pushbutton 17. An ignition switch 15 is closed to conduct electricity from a power supply 14 to an ignition heater 13 and a damper 12 slides along the peripheral surface of a fuel-air mixture injection pipe 5 in its axial direction and throttles the opening of an air intake 11 through a connector 18. On the other hand, fuel delivered from a nozzle 10 sucks air from the air intake 11, mixes with air the fuel-air mixture injection pipe 5, and is fed to a burner 4. A low excess air ratio of the fuel-air mixture assures the ignition, because of less controlled air volumes by the damper 12. Then, releasing the pushbutton 17 allows the operating element 16 to move to the high excess air ratio position by a compressed spring 19.
