Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure a stopping condition of a vehicle by giving an indication if an oil pressure which is transferred from a master cylinder to a multiplier is raised over the second preset value higher than the first preset value of a maintained pressure and generating a warning if said oil pressure is thereafter reduced below the first preset value. CONSTITUTION:A solenoid valve 74, a means for keeping pressures, and a pressure detector 76 are disposed in oil paths 4, 4a which communicate a master cyliner 2 and a multiplier 6. When a parking brake is operated with a force over a certain lvel, the solenoid valve 47 comes into operation. When the master cylinder 2 is then operated, the multiplier 6 is activated. If a pressure in the oil path 4a resultantly exceeds the second preset value, the pressure detector 76 is turned on to light a pressure maintaining lamp 120. Thereafter, when an oil pressure in the master cylinder 2 is released, the pressure in the oil path 4a is held at the first preset value which is lower than the second preset value. If the maintained oil pressure may be reduced because of a trouble or any other reason and the pressure in the oil path 4a may become below the first preset value, the pressure detector is turned off to fail the pressure maintaining lamp 120 and a warning buzzar 130 is actuated.
