Abstract

PURPOSE:To estimate the coke intensity with high accuracy, by evaluating both the fusing and shrinking properties of the compound coal in a coke oven by combining the parameter showing the fusing and shrinking properties of each single coal and the fluctuation component due to the carbonizing conditions of the compound coal. CONSTITUTION:The fusing property of the compound coal is evaluated by the weighing mean value (MF) of the commom logarithm value of the Gisseler maximum fluid degree (FIS M8801) of each single coal. The shrinking property of the compound coal is evaluated by the weighing mean value R6 of the mean maximum reflection factor (JIS M8816) of the vitrinite of each single coal respectively. For the carbonizing conditions, i.e., the working factor, the coal grade and the working conditions of desired frequency are changed for each coke oven to obtain constants beta1-beta9 which are shown by an intensity estimation equation in which the temperature of the flue temperature ( deg.C) which is shown by T hereafter of a coke oven and the grain size of coat (weight percent of particle of <=3 mesh which is shown by P hereafter) are combined. After this, the coke intensity DI15<30> is estimated with high accuracy by using the above-mentioned equation.
