Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect correctly the position of a probe, by combining a means detecting the lengths of cables to be delivered in with the number of revolutions, a means detecting a guide and a maens detecting welded parts of a heat transmitting tube with ultrasonic wave. CONSTITUTION:In order to detect a position of a probe 20, a guide 21 and a cable 37 are wound around a drum 26, the force of rotation of the drum is transmitted to an encoder provided at the out side of a driving device 31, and its inserted lengthe is detected by the number of revolutions. But, th revolution number is not always in accordance with the length delivered. Therefore, the guide 21 is detected at a photosensor 25 and is converted to an anelectric signal at a detector 24 and the output of the encoder 27 is corrected from the detected signal at a position measuring device 31. The reflectng echo about welded parts 23 is detected with ultrasonic wave from the probe 20, the echo signal is converted to an electric signal and the output singal which is detected with an output signal of the encoder 27 and the photosensor 25, is corrected.
