Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain an LSI conversion, by connecting each controller station equivalently to a circular communication line, using each controller station in common with a communication interface circuit and a self-diagnosis circuit and sending sequentially the statation having the control right for transmission. CONSTITUTION:A circular connection is given with a double system equivalent type communication line 7 between the function module groups including controller stations 1 and 2, a display station 5 and an N:1 backup station 4. A task relation to an exclusive function, a communication interface circuit 11 which shares the common communication/diagnosis function and a silf-diagnosis circuit 12 are provided in common to each function module. Each station monitors the existence of the transmission right signal on the communication line through a monitor mechanism using a self-excited timer and confirms that only the signal exists on the communication line. Thus the station having the transmission control right can be sent sequentially. In such way, the reliability is increased for the communication system and at the same time an LSI conversion is possible.
