Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a container enhanced in transparency, impact resistance, barrier properties and the like by a method wherein each of resin layers constituting a multilayer preform is independently molded into the shape of a preform, and after heating the preforms to a stretching temperature, the preforms are laminated to be the multilayer preform which is then stretched. CONSTITUTION:The first resin is molded to be the first preform 2a by an injection molding machine 1a, while the second resin is molded to be the second preform 2b by an injection molding machine 1b. Next, the first preform 2a and the second preform 2b are introduced into heating furnaces 3a and 3b, respectively, and are heated to respective stretching temperatures. Then, the preforms 2a, 2b thus heated are laminated to have the form of the multilayer preform 4, which is supplied to a stretch forming device 5 and is subjected to biaxial stretching, thereby obtaining a biaxially streached container 6, for example, in the shape of a bottle. The resin constituting each of the resin layers is suitably selected according to the use.
