Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure simple disposal of an original left in a copying machine in case of jamming of the original or the like, by providing both of a sheet original-inserting stand and a sheet original-unloading tray in a sheet original feeder itself incorporated in an image-forming apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A sheet original-inserting stand 55 and an original unloading-tray 71 are provided, independent of each other, collapsibly by a shaft 72 and a shaft 73, respectively, and to use them, first the stand 55 is opened, and then, the tray 71 is opened. In copying, the sheet original on the stand 55 is automatically conveyed through rollers 65, 66, guides 67, 68, unloading rollers 69, 70 to the tray 71. When the original is left in the original feeder due to jamming or the like, a lock mechanism is released, and the feeder is released into 3 parts from the face through which the original passes, thus permitting the original to be easily taken out.
