Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit automatic both-side copying in addition to ordinary one-side copying by containing sheets of the paper copied on one side once into a paper containing part then discharging the same after copying the other side of the paper. CONSTITUTION:A paper containing part consisting of a gate 30, a conveying belt 31, a direction changing plate 32, and a cassette 33 is provided in route of an ordinary copying route. In the case of ordinary one-side copying with such constitution, the gate 30 is opened to let off sheets of the paper P in a feed cassette 11 successively and after these are copied, they are discharged into a paper discharge tray 25. In the case of both-side copying, the gate 30 is closed, and sheets of the paper P copied on one side are once contained into the cassette 33 by means of the belt 31 and the plate 32, thence originals are exchanged, after which the gate 30 is again opened to let off the sheets successively with a feed roller 36, and after the paper P is copied on the other side, it is discharged into a tray 25. Thereby, automatic both-side copying is accompliched in addition to ordinary copying.
