Abstract
PURPOSE:To effectively improve fuel consumption, by constituting an engine in such a manner that opening and closing means are provided in an intake passage, and the intake passage is closed at operation of the engine partially loaded to fully supply an intake mixture to combustion chambers through a supercharge passage. CONSTITUTION:At operation of an engine partially loaded, depression of an accelerator pedal is small, and the first supporting member 22, interlocking to the accelerator pedal, is gently sloped not to effect its action to a link 24. Accordingly, the second throttle valve 28 is placed to a position as shown by the drawing, and the downstream side of an intake passage 2 is closed, then a mixture from a carburetor fully flows into a supercharge passage 7 through the first throttle valve 21, and is sucked by an air pump 4. The mixture, after being pressurized here, is fed to combustion chambers 1 through the third valves 8. On the contrary, at operation of the engine highly loaded, the first supporting member 22 is largely sloped, and the second supporting member 27 is also sloped synchronously with the first supporting member. In consequence, the second throttle valve 28 is opened, and the mixture can be sucked to the combustion chambers 1 from intake valves 3 and the third valves 8.
