Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit starting of a car with a simple structure by allowing a starting circuit to be formed only when the operating switch of the electromagnetic switch valve for feeding and discharging the pressurized oil to a hydraulic clutch is at the clutch-cutoff position, in the apparatus in which a travelling speed change gear is switched by the hydraulic clutch. CONSTITUTION:In the apparatus in which one of speed change positions such as three forward speeds and one rearward speed is selected by selectively feeding pressurized oil into hydraulic clutches 17-20, said hydraulic circuit is provided with two electromagnetic change-over valves 41 and 42 which are switch-controlled by controlling the conduction to solenoids 41a and 41b and 42a and 42b respectively. Each switch 43-46 is set ON/OFF by turning the speed change lever 49 installed in the vicinity of a driver's seat. The apparatus is constituted so that a starting motor M is brought into conduction only in the case when all the normally-closed contacts 43b-46b of switches 43-46 are in closed state, namely the speed change lever 49 is at neutral position when a starting switch S is turned ON.
