Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable many plates to be wrapped without increasing the size of the rolled body, and enhance the work efficiency of rolling a separator having ribs by making the directions of the said ribs to correspond to the rolling direction of the separator. CONSTITUTION:A separator 11 having ribs 12, the width (d) of which equals twice the height of a plate 13 plus the fusing part, is rolled into a roll-like shape so that the ribs 12 are perpendicular to the rolling direction of the separator 11. Next, the roll-like separator 11 is rolled back and cut that the cut length (l) equals the lateral width of the plate 13 plus the fusing part. After that, the surface of the plate 13 are surrounded with the cut separator 14 so that the directions of the ribs 12 correspond to the height of the plate 13, and the ends of the separator 14 is fused by ultrasonic welding or something similar so as to make the plate 13 to be wrapped in the separator 14 with ribs 12. By the means mentioned above, the rolling can be easily carried out without causing any deformation of the rolled body.
