Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a desired hot water temperature by a method wherein in the titled device in which hot water and the city water are mixed with each other to produce warm water of a suitable temperature and the warm water is discharged from a faucet, the mixing ratio of the city water to the hot water is automatically changed in proportion to the flow rate of the warm water through the faucet. CONSTITUTION:As the faucet 6 is opened wider, so the pressure drop at an orifice 7 becomes greater in proportion to the increase of the flow rate of the warm water through an output port 11 and the pressure difference between a chamber 15 and a mixing chamber 19 increases. Thus, due to the increase of the flow rate of the warm water at the output port 11, a diaphragm 13 moves upward against the force of a spring 16 so that a valve body 12 attached to the diaphragm 13 gradually opens an inlet 14 and the city water is flowed into the device from a first inlet 9 through a city water pipe 2 via a pipe 4. The city water introduced into the device is then mixed with the hot water from a second inlet 10 in a variable mixing ratio and the temperature of the resultant warm water flowing from the output port 10 to the faucet 6 is varied in proportion to the flow rate of the warm water at the faucet 6.
