Abstract

PURPOSE:To assuredly detect and select an unrecorded sheet, by storing temporarily the sheets having the recorded 1st surfaces at a storing part and setting a reflection factor detecting means at the storing part. CONSTITUTION:A recording sheet is sent out from a paper feed stand 1A(1B) and has the transcription of a picture formed on a photosensitive drum 4 on the frist surface via a roller 3. The recording sheet is then guided (a) by a switch guide 8 after the transport 6 and fixing 7 to be stored temporarily in a relaying tray 9. The sheets stacked densely are squeezed by a fixiing roller 7 to be separated from each other. Then the unrecorded sheet is detected on the tray 9 by a sensor 14. The stacked sheets which are separated on the way of transfer are detected by sensors 13a-13i to be treated as the jamming. After this, the picture is transcribed on the 2nd surface of the recording sheet from the drum 4 via a transport path 11 and the roller 3 in the same way as the 1st surface. The recording sheet is guided to the guide 8 after the transport 6 and fixing 7 to be stored in a sorter 15.
