Abstract
PURPOSE:To efficiently obtain a large amount of finely divided calcium sulfide particles, by introducing hydrogen sulfide into an aqueous solution containing cadmium ions, further adding cadmium ions after the end of the reaction, and repeating these operations of the reaction. CONSTITUTION:Hydrogen sulfide is introduced into an aqueous solution containing cadmium ions to react these ions with hydrogen sulfide, and at the end of reaction, cadmium ions are further added to conduct this reaction, and such operations are repeated in 3-5 times to give finely divided cadmium sulfide particles. It is necessary to suppress an amount of cadmium used in the initial stage of reaction, but at and after the next time, there occurs no trouble in obtaining finely divided particles even if the amount of cadmium added is gradually increased, thus permitting to increase considerably the finally obtd. amt. of cadmium sulfide. It is preferable to use 0.02-0.15mol per liter as an initial cadmium ion concentration.
