These four negative films are reversed to obtain positive films. Using these positive films, the normal plate making and printing are carried out to produce a printed matter. The fringe area of the characters on the printed matter is formed by just a single color of ink plate and has no superposition of halftone spots. As a result, a high-contrast white character is obtained on the black background.
