Abstract

The decorative pattern is formed by printing from a linogravure plate on which the design to be reproduced is engraved. As a support for the pattern to be produced a black gloss surface, eg of cardboard, is used (1). The same engraved plate, or a number of identical ones, is used to make a succession of prints of different colours, some at least being superimposed, the pattern intended being left in reserve so as to appear under the support surface. The system gives an enamelling effect.
