Abstract

The printing system produces a relief on part at least of the text etc. on the supporting surface. In a first operation, the complete text etc. is printed on the surface, after which a mask, defining the parts of the text to be relieved, is used to deposit colourless ink or varnish on these parts. The latter are then subjected to a single thermo gravure operation, using a powder to give the relief effect. Printing can be effected by a number of offset films or blocks, each for one colour, and placed one above the other to form the mass.
