Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture a corrugated insulating body having a uniform thickness continuously without causing the break thereof by a method wherein a material to be formed is inserted sequentially from one end of a pair of upper and lower molds having corrugated engaging surfaces and the molds are moved up-and- down by a wave length thereof at every forming of one wave form. CONSTITUTION:A glass cloth basic material 12 is passed through an impregnating resin 15 and is led out through guide rollers 16, 17 while organic fabric nonwoven cloths 19A, 19B are laminated at the both sides thereof and are bonded by passing through press rollers 20A, 20B to form the member 21 to be formed. The member 21 to be formed is inserted from one end thereof into a mold 23 having a plurality of predetermined recesses and protrusions 23C continuously and being constituted with metallic plates 23A, 23B moving up-and-down into the arrow directions a, b, and is formed into a wavy form during being heated and pressed by the initial recess and protrusion 23C, subsequently, both of the molds are opened and the wavy form part formed in the member 21 to be formed initially is sent to a neighboring next recessed and protruded part, then, the molds are closed and a next forming part is formed. This operation is repeated to form sequentially the wavy form part one by one.
