Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the symmertry of the temp. distribution of a device for growing a single crystal with high frequency heating by holding more than half of the winding of a coil on the same horizontal plane with ends of the coil.
CONSTITUTION: In a coil composed of a lead wire 1, ends 2 and a winding part 3, one or both of the ends 2 hold more than half of the winding part 3 on the almost same horizontal plane, so the influence of the upper and lower ends of the coil due to the termination of the coil on the symmetry of a magnetic field is minimized, and lines 6 of magnetic force produced by an electric current 5 have enhanced symmetry. In the figure, 4 is a section of the coil. Accordingly, the symmetry of the internal temp. distribution of a furnace heated with the high frequency magnetic field is enhanced.
