Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an electromagnet suited to a printer-wire driving magnet by covering a fine magnetic wire of a given shape with an insulating material and bundling a number of coated wires in the direction of magnetic flux to form a coil core.
CONSTITUTION: A fine wire of magnetic material 5 with a square sectional area is coated with an insulating material 4. The coated wires are bent into U-shape differet in dimensions so as to provide a sectional area required for the iron core to be formed. The bent wires are then formed into a U-shaped iron core. Alternatively, a fine magnetic wire with a square or round sectional area is coated in the same way and the coated wires are assembled into a coil core 6 without bending. The core is surrounded by an exciting coil 8 and an armature is installed to face the one face edge of the core 6. The structure increases resistivity, decreases eddy current and resulting heat, and thus is suited as an electromagnet for printer.
