Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain recorded images of stable quality by rediffusing concentrated magnetic fluid generated in unequal magnetic field by arranging plural electrodes at such places where ununiform magnetic fields in magnetic fluid tend to act. CONSTITUTION:A recording head unit is composed by such an arrangement wherein a multi stylus recording electrode 1 is installed to a base 5, a magnet 2 for bulging which magnetizes the recording electrode 1 is adhered to the electrode 1, magnetic fluid 3 is supported by the magnetized recording electrode 1 and the magnet 2 for bulging, and an electrode 10 is provided in the vicinity of the slope of the magnet 2 for bulging so that it is brought to contact with the magnetic fluid 3. To prevent a sedimentation layer 4 of magnetic fluid of high magnetic particle density from being formed, electric charge is injected into the sedimentation layer 4 by applying a voltage between the electrode 10 and the recording electrode 1, as required, and the sedimentation layer 4 is caused to diffuse and mix with magnetic fluid 3 and the magnetic particle density of the magnetic fluid 3 is constantly maintained uniform.
