Abstract
PURPOSE:To stabilize phase error control in demodulating equipment of orthogonal modulated waves by checking the center tap output of delay element to which interference waves of orthogonal component are supplied. CONSTITUTION:An orthogonal modulated wave signal is added to phase detectors 12, 13 and the detection output is added to phase is added to a transversal type automatic equalizer 23. The equalizing output of the eaualizing section 24 is added to a discriminating section and a controlling section 25 and demodulated. At the same time, it is added to a phase error signal generating circuit 16 and a phase error signal is added to a voltage control oscillator 14 through a low-pass filter 17. The output of the oscillator 14 is added to phase detectors 12, 13 as a regenerative carrier wave. The equalizing section 24 includes a series circuit of a delay circuit, and the center tap of the series circuit to which interference waves of orthogonal component are supplied is omitted and equalizing ability for phase error is removed. Equalizing for phase error is made by controlling the voltage control oscillator 14 by the phase error signal generating circuit 16.
