Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform distance measurement easily by finding the deviation of an object from the optical axes of the 1st and 2nd optical systems. CONSTITUTION:The optical axes of lenses 1 and 2 as the 1st and 2nd optical systems are made to intersect each other, and linear photosensors 3 and 4 where an image of an object 5 is formed are arranged behind the 1st and 2nd lenses 1 and 2. The photodetecting elements of the linear photosensors 3 and 4 output voltage signals which correspond to their quantities of photodetected light. From the outputs of those linear photosensors 3 and 4, the 1st and 2nd extents of deviation of the image of the object 5 from the optical axes of the lenses 1 and 2 are detected. On the basis of those 1st and 2nd extents of deviation, a distance to the object 5 is found.
