Abstract

PURPOSE:To promote refreshed feeling aroused by intermittent air streams similar to natural breeze by intermittent delivery of shared air currents to air blow outlets with total air quantity kept constant. CONSTITUTION:In case of an air-conditioned room provided with normal air blow outlets (a-d) on the surface of a ceiling, the cool air from an air conditioner 12 is blown into the room by a blower 1 through a main duct 3 and air supply manifolds 4-9 in such a manner as the main duct 3 is branched at a point 10 into the air supply manifolds 4 and 5, and the manifold 4 is further branched into air blow outlets 6 and 7, the manifold 5 is branched into air blow outlets 8 and 9. An air current sharing unit 2 which is composed of fluid element units is provided at the point 10 mentioned above to intermittently share the air current with the air supply manifolds 4 and 5 by means of the unit 2. This can cause air to blow off adjoining outlets in different cycles and make the air stream out of the air outlets (a-d) similar to the natural breeze.
