Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a printing device which enables reliable drawing of a minute pattern and sharply reduces defects of printed matter, by a method wherein a transfer cylinder is designed to transfer ink, collected from each of two plates at positions being different from each other, to the same position of an object to be printed. CONSTITUTION:Ink is fed to plates 1 and 2 through horizontal reciprocating movement of inking devices 11 and 12, and a transfer cylinder 3 is reciprocably spun between the plates 1, 2 and an object 6 to be printed. Through the working of a displacing mechanism 22, engagement of a pinion gear, acting as the moving mechanism of the transfer cylinder 3, with a rack gear is conducted so that they are displaced in engagement by several teeth, the transfer cylinder 2 receives ink from the one plate 2 at a position being different from a transfer surface where it receives ink from the other plate 1, and a complementary correction is made on an ink pattern obtained by a double printing.
