Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture patterns of high film thickness in high resolution by providing two sets of a blanket drum and ink roller group and lap printing a sheet to be printed by the same cylinder between one reciprocation of the drum. CONSTITUTION:A block surface plate 1 for mounting a printing block and a printing surface plate 2 for mounting a sheet to be printed or a plate are provided, and blanket drums 3, 4 are sequentially rolled on the surface of the surfaces plates by a pair of racks at the side edges of the plates. Patterns are lap-printed by the same cylinder on the sheet or plate while a carriage 4 having the drums 3, 4 is reciprocated once.

Today, silk screen printing machines are the mainstream of resist pattern forming equipment for printed wiring boards, and although the film thickness of the resist ink is sufficient in silk screen printing machines, even if the pattern resolution is at its highest, it is only 150 mm within the line. ~20
Since the resist pattern is 0 μm, the reality is that it is becoming increasingly difficult to meet the demands for forming high-resolution resist patterns as patterns become increasingly finer.

In order to achieve the above object, the present inventors conducted a printing test for manufacturing a printed wiring board using a conventionally known flatbed offset proofing machine, but pinholes occurred in the first printing, making it difficult to put it to practical use. I didn't get anything. Next, when we tried overprinting the same pattern using the same proofing machine, the printed pattern became a continuous film with the pinholes removed, and we found that it was almost usable as a resist pattern for microfabrication such as printed wiring boards. I was able to create it. However, there was an economical problem because the blanket cylinder of the proofing machine had to be reciprocated twice in order to perform overprinting. The present inventors conducted research on a flatbed offset printing machine with improved economic efficiency and completed the present invention.

Furthermore, it has one printing surface plate on which a printing plate is mounted and one printing surface plate on which a printing sheet or board is mounted, and a pair of racks provided along the side edges of each of these surface plates allows the blanket cylinder to be mounted. In a flatbed offset printing machine, in which ink is sequentially transferred to each surface plate surface, two sets each consisting of a blanket cylinder and a group of ink rollers are provided, and an ultraviolet irradiation device is provided between the blanket cylinders. It is characterized in that overprinting can be performed on the printing sheet or plate during one round trip, which consists of a series of steps of printing with the same plate, curing, and printing.

First, the bearing 5 faces the central frame 15 from a position on the frame 17, and is moved by the ink roller group 7 to the plate surface plate 1.
Ink is applied to the above plate (not shown) according to the pattern. Next, the blanket cylinder 3 rolls over the plate surface, and the ink of the plate is transferred to the blanket surface of the blanket cylinder. As the carrying ring 5 moves further to the right in the drawing, ink is applied to the plate by the ink roller group 8 installed next, and then when the blanket cylinder 4 installed next rolls on the plate surface, the plate is injected with ink. The ink of the blanket cylinder 4

As the Plancher progresses, the Plancher (1135-) begins to roll over the printing sheet or plate on the printing surface plate 2, and the ink on the Plancher (1135-) is sequentially transferred to the printing sheet or plate and a pattern is printed. , the ink roller group 7 escapes upward in front of the printing surface plate 2, and the roller group does not come into contact with the printing sheet or board (the same goes for the ink roller group 8 in series I).The carrying 5 advances further. When the ultraviolet ray irradiation device 16 installed on the bearing 5 comes to the position of the printing surface plate 2, the shutter of the ultraviolet irradiation device 6 is opened by a position detection means (not shown), and the sheet or plate to be printed is irradiated with ultraviolet rays.

As mentioned above, when the series of printing-curing-printing steps is completed, the bearing 5 is brought to the position shown by the two-dot chain line in the drawing, and the ink supply device 12. Meanwhile, the water roller group 1 receives water from the water supply device 14. The cooling device provided in the plate surface has the effect of cooling the plate, causing dew condensation on the plate surface, and constantly stabilizing the amount of dampening water on the plate surface. If dampening water is still insufficient, a separate set of water supply device 14 and water roller group 11 may be provided.

Furthermore, although the illustrated embodiment is equipped with one ultraviolet irradiation device, in that case, the ink may not be sufficiently dry after overprinting (or if the printer has an ultraviolet irradiation device in addition to the printing machine). A drying oven or other hot wire or hot air drying oven is required.Providing such a separate device is not preferable in terms of space and economy. Therefore, in a more preferred embodiment, a drying oven as shown in FIG. It is desirable to provide another ultraviolet irradiation device between the illustrated blanket cylinder 4 and the water roller group 11.

When two ultraviolet irradiation devices are installed in this way, the ink immediately hardens and dries after printing, eliminating the need for subsequent extra processing and allowing immediate work to be started on other tasks. There is no need to worry about such problems, and the yield is good and it is extremely effective in reducing total costs.
