Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect the position of the moving body continuously from the ground even though the moving body moves over a long distance, by detecting the position of the moving body which moves on a constant running path of a ceiling crane and the like by the induction radio. CONSTITUTION:A pair of crossed wire linesIare formed by crossing two pieces of conducting wires periodically along the moving body running path, M pairs of crossed wire line groups II are formed by crossing the wire at the same period as that of the wire linesIand arranged so that the crossing distance of every 1/(M-1) is shifted with respect to the wire lineI. The variation in the magnetic field or the electric field generated by the antenna 8 on the moving body 7 is received by the wire linesIandII. The high frequency signal is synthesized by giving the phase difference of pi/2 when M=1 and (2pi/M)i(i=1...M-1) when M=2. The phase of said synthesized high frequency signal is compared with that of the received high frequency signal of either of said wire linesIor II. The voltage or current which is proportional to the phase difference is taken out, and the distance from the crossing parts of the wire linesIor II are continuously detected from the ground. The position of the moving body is continuously detected from the address data detected on the ground.
