Abstract

PURPOSE:To damp abnormal surge for stably supplying fuel by allowing gasoline vapor and liquid to pass through fine apertures. CONSTITUTION:A resistance chamber 8 having a diameter larger than that of a fuel passage 4 from a fuel pump 2 to an inlet chamber 6 is arranged in the fuel passage 4 in the vicinity of the fuel pump 2, and is incorporated therein and fixed with a disc shaped porous resistance member 9. Further, cylindrical porous resistance member 10 are also incorporated in and secured to the inlet chamber 6. Even though abnormal surge is generated due to the generation of percolation during engine operation, pressure reduction and deceleration of the flow of gasoline vapor and liquid are attained when they pass through porous resistance members, and an inlet valve or an injection valve is opened by being subjected to a high pressure so that their normal operation of valve opening or closing becomes abnormal, thereby no excess amount of fuel is supplied to the engine.
