Abstract

PURPOSE:To raise the effect of sealing by attaching a lower cylinder surrounding a lower mold to a lower mold fitting plate and also an upper cylinder surrounding an upper mold to an upper mold fitting plate in a vacuum molding machine to perform compression molding in its vacuum chamber. CONSTITUTION:A vacuum chamber is opened by separating an upper cylinder 15 as shown by two-dots chain lines in relation to a lower cylinder 12, a molding raw material is supplied in a lower mold 11, and then an elevating driver D is lowered. Whereupon, the upper cylinder 15 is airtightly fitted with the lower cylinder 12 to form a vacuum chamber B and at the same time the lower mold 11 is closed by the upper mold 14. Then, the vacuum chamber B is transferred into the molding portion 5 of a compressor A by means of a reciprocal driver C, a mobile plate 3 is raised through a ram 2, and compression molding is made. During the compression molding, the vacuum chamber B is evacuated, and furthermore, compressive force is slightly lowered and molding is made while drawing gas out of the molds.
