Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform the retransmission of an original efficiently, by providing a timer means that actuates with the retransmission request signal and holding the connection of a circuit between the transmitting and receiving sides even after the end of transmission of a sheet of the original within the working time of the timer means. CONSTITUTION:The retransmission request signal Cr3 supplied from the receiver side is detected by a control signal discriminating circuit 7 through a network control circuit 4 and modulating/demodulating circuit 3. Thus a control circuit 8 actuates an announcing circuit 10 to call an operator at the transmitter side. At the same time, the circuit 8 actuates a timer circuit 11 and the circuit 4 is controlled so that the connection is held between the circuit 11 and the circuit 10 during the actuation of the circuit 11. With the actuation of the circuit 10, the operator applies a transmission start switch circuit 9 after setting an original to be retransmitted to the transmitter within the working time of the circuit 11. The circuit 8 detects this. Thereafter, the circuit 8 proceeds to the transmission control sequence of the following original. Thus the picture information of the original to be retransmitted is transmitted.
