Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable the same selective call signal and control singal with a CCIR system to be used even when sending a telegraphic message by the JIS codes, by selecting the JIS codes or No2 codes on the basis of the transmission time intervals of selective call signal blocks. CONSTITUTION:On CCIR counsel basis, the station name of a QCXT is transmitted from a transmitting station with a selective call signal as two blocks of a Q-RQ controlling singal -C and an X-T-RQ controlling signal at a 570 ms period when a telegraphic message employs the JIS codes or at a 450 ms period when the No2 codes. At a receiving station, when the reception intervals of two blocks of selective call signals are 570 ms, it is judged that the telegraphic message is sent by the JIS codes, and a seven-bit control singal of CCIR is transmitted at a 570 ms period 90 ms right after the selective call signal is received. When the reception intervals of the selective call signal are 450 ms, it is judged that the telegraphic message is sent by the No2 codes, and the control signal is transmitted at a 450 ms period. The transmitting station starts transmitting the telegraphic message when receiving the same control signal twice correctly at the same interval with the transmission time interval.
