Abstract
PURPOSE:To cast sound precision castings in precision casting by replenishing molten metal to a thin-walled part by using electromagnetic force. CONSTITUTION:In the stage of casting, for example, a thin-walled blade 1, pressurizing force is exerted to the inside of molten metal by applying the electromagnetic force 4 in the supplying direction of the molten metal by the moving magnetic field generated with an electromagnetic device 3 in said part 2 during feeding, whereby the blade is cast. Hence, the sound precision castings can be manufactured even under low mold temp. and casting temp. conditions. It is possible to obtain the sound and fine structure in the precision casting wherein the mold temp. is high and there is tendency toward the formation of extremely coarse structure.
